Ronald Reagan….always had a way with words.Just the Truth Podcast with Joey Hudson
We did it, America!
The United States has officially crossed the $40 TRILLION national debt mark.
Of course, that’s not exactly a milestone worth celebrating.
Today we’re asking the question Washington has avoided for decades: How in the world do we ever pay this money back?
💰 AMERICA’S $40 TRILLION DEBT PROBLEM
Think $40 trillion is just another big Washington number?
Put it into perspective.
That’s more than $100,000 in federal debt for every man, woman and child in America—and the number continues climbing.
Republicans blame runaway spending and the growth of government. Democrats frequently argue that revenues and tax policy have to be part of the solution. Meanwhile, Washington continues borrowing enormous amounts of money.
So where does this end?
Can Congress realistically balance the budget? What would have to be cut? What happens to Social Security and Medicare? Do taxes eventually have to increase? And how much of the federal budget could eventually be consumed simply by interest payments on the debt?
We’ll dig into the numbers and discuss what $40 trillion really means for American taxpayers.

We’ll talk about what she’s watching as voters prepare to make their choice, what happens after the primary battle is over and perhaps most importantly—can Republicans come back together for November?
With control of Congress on the line, party unity could become every bit as important as who wins the nomination.

We’ll talk with Congresswoman Biggs about the work taking place back home in the district, constituent services and the issues waiting for lawmakers when Congress returns to Washington.
