New reports indicate that 24 commercial vessels have been attacked near the Strait of Hormuz over the past two weeks, marking one of the most intense periods of maritime attacks since the Iran war began.
Oil tankers and cargo ships are increasingly vulnerable, and the flow of oil through this critical waterway has fallen dramatically.

ILHAN OMAR INVESTIGATION — THE LATEST AFTER FEDERAL SEARCH
Federal investigators searched the Washington, D.C., residence of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar earlier this week.
The Justice Department confirmed that Homeland Security Investigations executed a court-authorized search warrant as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.
According to news reports citing sources familiar with the investigation, authorities are examining immigration-related paperwork dating back to Omar’s childhood.
Omar strongly denies wrongdoing and says the investigation is politically motivated.
The search has sparked controversy in Washington, with questions about the allegations, the evidence and the timing of the investigation.
