ABOUT JOEY HUDSON

Conservative Christian, aspiring statesman, experienced entrepreneur, speaker, radio personality, writer and mentor

Joey Hudson is a conservative Christian, statesman, and experienced businessman who also happens to have a podcast. As the former host of The Morning Answer! on 94.5 WGTK The Answer in Greenville, South Carolina, Joey has parlayed decades of broadcast and speaking experience into a new daily podcast, Just The Truth.

As an entrepreneur, Joey has already had a successful career by anyone’s measure. With many years at the helm of a prosperous insurance agency, Joey’s reputation for being honest and conscientious has been confirmed through the building of hundreds of professional and personal relationships. While “minding the store” Joey takes an active role in the community as a volunteer, a mentor and in several lay clergy responsibilities.

A longtime advocate and board member for CrimeStoppers of Greenville, Joey also serves as the Executive Director of the Gallagher’s Heroes Fallen Officer and First Responder Fund, a charitable foundation dedicated to supporting and honoring the law enforcement and first responders communities. Joey’s leadership in business and the community, as well as his active role in shaping the political conversation of the day, earn him the title of statesman, even if he is reluctant to claim it.

Joey is often asked to speak before groups of all sizes. These engagements afford him the opportunity to focus on one of his most pressing concerns: support of law enforcement, especially spiritual support. The First Responders Bible was Joey’s breakthrough idea for supporting the spiritual needs of the men and women who so readily sacrifice for our communities and our nation. These Bibles are made available by the generous gifts of donors around the country who appreciate the work of first responders and who care about their physical and spiritual well-being. Joey brought together The Mike Gallagher Show Charitable Foundation and the National Bible Association to make the idea a reality.

Faith occupies the central concentration in Joey’s life—both personal and professional. Joey’s involvement through Christ Church Episcopal as a Stephen Minister has enriched Joey’s life as well as the lives of those he has encountered through the ministry. The mission of Stephen Ministries is to provide personal, one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life. This ministry, along with the First Responders Bible, give Joey two meaningful ways to not only demonstrate, but to live his faith daily.

Often when someone has such rich experience and a defining faith, their influence is limited to their immediate circle – those friends and family with whom they communicate regularly. But when you understand the impact he is having in the Upstate and around the country with communities large and small, then you’ll see that the personal tagline just begins to scratch the surface!

…and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:7
