WEEKEND: Opportunities, Faith, and Hope: Two Upstate Ministries Changing Lives (Ep 644)

Just the Truth Podcast with Joey Hudson

On today’s episode of Word on the Street, we highlight two powerful Upstate organizations that are changing lives through opportunity, preparation, and hope.

First, we’re joined by Lara Ceisel, Executive Director of the Barbara Stone Foundation, and Carlene Zierfuss, Transition Coordinator with Greenville County Schools, to talk about The Road to Possibilities — An Opportunity Fair, happening Thursday, February 5th at the University Center in Greenville.

This free, family-friendly event connects students with disabilities and their families to critical resources in:
• Education and transition planning
• Employment and vocational opportunities
• Life skills and independent living
• Community and support services

The goal is simple: help students plan confidently for life after high school.

Later in the show, we head to Wellford, South Carolina, to visit with Melanie Watt, Founder and CEO of Hope Remains Ranch — a Christ-centered nonprofit ministry offering healing, mentoring, and spiritual growth through counseling and powerful horse-assisted programs for children, adults, and families.

From education and employment to faith, healing, and restoration — this episode shines a spotlight on the people making a real difference right here in the Upstate.
