BREAKING: Trump Says Russia and Ukraine Agree to Halt Energy Attacks (Ep 863)
Just the Truth Podcast with Joey Hudson
President Donald Trump says Russia and Ukraine have agreed to an immediate ceasefire targeting attacks on energy infrastructure. But is the agreement already falling apart?
Trump announced Sunday that both countries had agreed to stop attacking each other’s power plants, oil refineries and other energy facilities.
The president called for the agreement to take effect immediately.
But there’s a major complication.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the announcement came as news to him. He says Ukraine is prepared to stop attacking Russian energy facilities if Russia does the same.
And Ukrainian officials report that Russian strikes on energy infrastructure have continued.
So has Russia actually agreed to the ceasefire?
Can the United States bring both sides to the negotiating table?
And what does this mean for global energy prices and the ongoing war?
We’ll examine Trump’s announcement, Ukraine’s response and the latest developments.
CHRISTA PIKE RETURNS TO PRISON — WHAT HAPPENS NOW?
Tennessee death row inmate Christa Pike is back behind bars after surviving a failed execution attempt.
Pike was sentenced to death for the 1995 murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer.
On September 30, Tennessee attempted to execute Pike using lethal injection.
She survived two doses of execution drugs and was rushed to a hospital, where she spent more than a week recovering.
Over the weekend, her attorneys confirmed that she had been discharged and returned to prison in Nashville.
But the legal questions are far from over.
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has halted executions for the remainder of 2026 and ordered an independent review of the state’s execution procedures.
Pike’s attorneys are seeking to have her death sentence commuted to life in prison without parole.
So can Tennessee attempt to execute her again?
Would another attempt violate constitutional protections against cruel and unusual punishment?
And what happens to her death sentence while the investigation continues?
We’ll bring you the latest.

Halloween is getting more expensive.
New federal inflation figures show candy and chewing gum prices increased 8.1% over the past year, more than twice the overall inflation rate.

According to the National Retail Federation, consumers are expected to spend approximately $4.1 billion on Halloween candy this year.
That’s a lot of chocolate bars, candy corn and peanut butter cups.
For families buying costumes, decorations and enough candy for the neighborhood, the costs can add up quickly.
We’ll look at what’s driving candy prices higher and share practical ways to save money without disappointing the trick-or-treaters.
