Pete Hegseth: Fort Hood Killer Nidal Hasan’s Execution to Be Live Streamed (Ep 860)

Just the Truth Podcast with Joey Hudson

JD Vance is taking on Microsoft, Adobe and several of the world’s largest technology and outsourcing companies over alleged abuse of America’s employment-based green-card system.

The Trump administration announced Thursday that it is suspending Microsoft, Adobe, Cognizant, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, HCL Technologies and Capgemini from the federal PERM labor-certification program.

That program allows employers to seek permanent residency for foreign workers after certifying that qualified American workers are not available for the positions.

Vice President JD Vance accused Microsoft of laying off American employees while continuing to rely heavily on foreign workers.

Labor officials say the affected companies have received hundreds of thousands of work-visa approvals and permanent labor certifications over the years.

The administration argues that the program has been misused at the expense of American workers.

But the companies and supporters of employment-based immigration argue that foreign talent fills specialized jobs and helps American businesses compete globally.

So what exactly is the PERM program?

Does this mean foreign employees are being deported?

What happens to green-card applications already in the system?

And could this change how America’s biggest technology companies hire workers?

We’ll explain the announcement, the allegations and what it means for American jobs.

OBAMA AND EL-SAYED: FROM CRITICISM TO CAMPAIGN STAGE

Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed once criticized former President Barack Obama for failing to deliver on progressive campaign promises.

El-Sayed argued that Obama’s reelection represented a compromise for progressive voters who wanted more ambitious change.

Now the two are preparing to appear together at a campaign event.

Obama’s participation comes as Democrats work to bring together different parts of their coalition ahead of the November midterm elections.

El-Sayed has attracted support from prominent progressive figures while also receiving backing from more established Democratic leaders.

So what did El-Sayed say about Obama?

Has his assessment of Obama’s presidency changed?

And how does the upcoming appearance fit into Michigan’s closely watched Senate campaign?

We’ll look at his earlier comments and the political context surrounding the event.

WANT TO LIVE TO 100? THREE DRINKS WORTH TALKING ABOUT

What if some of the beverages associated with healthy aging are already sitting in your kitchen?

Longevity researcher Dan Buettner, known for his work studying the world’s Blue Zones, has identified three drinks commonly consumed in communities with unusually high concentrations of people living into their 90s and beyond.

His three selections are:

Water. Black coffee. Red wine.

Water tops the list because hydration is essential to healthy bodily function.

Coffee consumption has been associated in observational research with several favorable health outcomes.

And red wine appears in the traditional diets of some long-lived communities, although the potential risks of alcohol make that recommendation controversial.

Here’s the important distinction: drinking these beverages does not guarantee a longer life, and health experts do not recommend starting to drink alcohol for longevity.

We’ll look at what the research actually suggests and the everyday habits that may matter far more than any single beverage.

FORT HOOD MASS SHOOTER’S EXECUTION WILL BE PUBLIC

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says the execution of convicted Fort Hood mass shooter Nidal Hasan will be made available for public viewing.

Hasan was convicted of killing 13 people and attempting to murder 32 others during the 2009 shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.

He was sentenced to death in 2013.

President Donald Trump has approved execution by an Army firing squad, and the execution is scheduled for December 3 at Fort Hood.

Hegseth says the public should be able to witness the consequences of Hasan’s crimes.

If carried out, it would be the first execution under the American military justice system since 1961.

The announcement also raises questions about military capital punishment, the use of firing squads and the decision to make an execution publicly viewable.

We’ll explain the announcement and what happens next.
