For more than 20 years, Pet Tender Angels Rescue and Rehabilitation in Landrum, South Carolina, has been giving a second chance to some of the most vulnerable dogs imaginable.
These aren’t ordinary rescue cases. Many of these animals have suffered devastating injuries, serious illnesses, disabilities, neglect, or abandonment. They require specialized care, including surgeries, wheelchairs, medications, therapy, and around-the-clock attention.
Lori Jewell, founder of Pet Tender Angels, joins me to talk about the organization’s mission, the incredible stories of hope and healing, and the financial crisis that now threatens its future.
Pet Tender Angels receives no state funding and no federal funding. Every dollar comes from generous donors who believe these animals deserve a chance at life.
